Hotel Grand Phenix Okushiga Yamanouchi , Yamanouchi (Nagano)

I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The rooms were quite comfortable, and I really appreciated the hot spa and public bathroom, but there were some unpleasant smells in the bathroom now and then. The service was genuinely fantastic, especially when they helped with our ski arrangements. However, the location was a bit remote, and it took us a while to get around, especially early in the season when the ski slopes weren't fully operational.
